Perspective and Values Our perspective on SLP education is distinctive based on a philosophy that students learn in a supportive environment. The vision is to change practice by developing exceptional critical thinkers who become leaders in their diverse communities. As a program, we value: community, equity, compassion, critical inquiry, advocacy, and lived experiences.

Life Outside the Classroom Your success in the classroom is linked to a balance of attributes outside the classroom. Our location gives you the best of both worlds. We are a private university with an undergraduate campus and various graduate programs. This gives you instant access to intramural sports, student clubs, community service activities, and all the benefits of college life.

Outside of class, take a deep breath and relax. Country roads are here for walking, running and biking, and Hagg Lake is close by for picnicking and water sports. Our on-campus Outdoor Pursuits Program arranges sea kayaking, whitewater rafting, backpacking, and cross-country skiing excursions for students. For the pleasures of Northwest urban life, the city of Portland is just 25 miles away.

Pacific students are passionate, empathetic, and service-oriented. These innate interpersonal qualities are just as important to us as your academic profile. We want to learn about these qualities in addition to your academic preparation.
